Operations Manager

Full Time Permanent position based in Te Anau

OffSpring Travel LTD is seeking an experienced outdoors person to manage the operation of Guided Kayak Operations in Doubtful Sound.

This hands-on position is responsible for the end to end delivery of our Day Tour experiencing Doubtful Sound by kayak. Duties include guiding of day tours, skippering of vessels on Lake Manapouri and occasionally Doubtful Sound, driving of passenger vehicles and coordination with our reservations team.

You will be passionate about Fiordland and committed to ensuring the flawless delivery of our product in a safe and efficient manner.

Essential Skills/ Qualifications

  • Extensive Kayaking Qualifications and experience log
  • Skippers Restricted Limits Licence and experience log
  • Passenger endorsed Drivers Licence (Class 1,2,3,4) and experience
  • Prior experience in Doubtful Sound /Fiordland is preferred

  • Paid part time seasonal position: Accommodation is available.
  • Cleaning duties at our busy Accommodation in Lake Te Anau.
  • Making beds, luxing, wiping, scrubbing etc – this is physical work.
  • You will take pride in your work and be available to work 7 days per week (roster usually 5 on, 2 off).

PROFESSIONAL COACH DRIVER

P- CLASS LICENSE IS ESSENTIAL

Tracknet operates a modern fleet of coaches connecting Queenstown to Te Anau, Milford Sound and the Great Walks.

We require Te Anau based drivers to work a weekly roster which includes working weekends. We are looking for both full-time and part-time staff

Work days are between 5 and 13 hours per a day depending on the role

This job is perfect for an applicant who enjoys driving and also sharing our part of the world with our mainly international guests.

The successful applicant must posses the following:

  • A current P endorsement and Class 2 licence
  • Competent and safe driving ability
  • Great people skills
  • Impeccable communication skills
  • The ability to work independently and unsupervised
  • Relate and communicate to people from all over the world
  • Basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance
