At the Te Anau Lakeview Holiday Park we have large outdoor spaces for your tent, marquee or outside event/sporting pursuit. There are several communal areas which may be commandeered for catering purposes subject to bookings.
In Te Anau there are many local Sports communities including rugby, squash, tennis, golf, cricket, netball with more options available via the Fiordland Community Events Centre.
Should your group wish to learn to sail or fish, the Marakura Yacht Club is located directly over the road from our Holiday Park and the Lake is able to be fished year-round with a current fishing license. Lake Henry which is a short 5-minute walk behind our Holiday Park is “stocked” with fish as a children’s fishery – fishing rods and licenses can be hired/purchased in Te Anau.
There are also some great local attractions just a short walk from the Te Anau Lakeview Kiwi Holiday Park. These include the Department of Conservation Visitor Center just across the road and the Te Anau Bird Sanctuary is a 10-minute lakeside walk from our Park. Here you can see a variety of New Zealand’s Native Birds including Kea, Takahe & Kaka.

Steamers Beach is split into 17 rooms, we have 4 quad rooms – each with 2 sets of bunks, 1 twin room with 1 set of bunks, 4 x 6 bed dorms – each with 3 sets of bunks, 1 x 8 bed dorm with 4 sets bunks, 5 x Double & Single rooms – each with 1 set of bunks that has a double on bottom & a single on top, and 2 Double & 3 single rooms – each with 2 sets of bunks, 1 bunk has a double on bottom & a single on top and 1 set of single bunks. At full capacity, Steamers Beach can sleep 75 people – 61 people in single beds and 14 people in the 7 double beds . Each room has its bedding, pillows, heaters, chairs, mirror and a sink, some of the rooms walk out onto a deck, There are separate male and female bathrooms along with separate toilets so this offers full privacy for everyone.
Steamers Beach has its own communal area which is a few steps across a boardwalk from the accommodation. It is divided into separate areas – kitchen, dining, lounge, reading nook and laundry. The kitchen is fully equipped with chillers and freezers, cook-tops and ovens, sinks and a lot of bench space for prepping meals. There are pots, pans, crockery and utensils provided. The dining area has seating for approximately 40 people, and in the Lounge area there is a TV with selected Sky Channels, a wood fire, chairs and couch’s for approximately 10 people or sit outside on the wooden deck area on those sunny days. There is a separate laundry with 2 washers, 2 dryers and a washtub along with drying lines to the side of the building. The whole complex is secured at the entrance doors requiring a key to open the living and sleeping areas.

West Arm offers an excellent alternative to dorm-style rooms, this is made up of 5 “wings” which are perfect for any size group. Within 4 of the “wings” they consist of 17 or 20 single bedrooms in each, each room contains a single bed, bedding, pillow, heater, mirror, chair and table. Located at the end of each of these buildings is a separate shower room with 3 showers and across from these are private toilets with 3 toilets, urinals and hand basins. The 5th wing has 21 rooms, 12 of these have single beds and 9 have double beds, all with bedding, pillow, heater, mirror, chair and table. This “wing” has a male shower room with 3 showers & hand basins and adjacent is the male toilets with 3 toilets, urinals & hand basins at one end of the block while at the other end of the “wing” is the female shower room with 3 showers & hand basins and adjacent to these is the female toilets. At the same end of the “wing” is a separate accessible bathroom with a walk-in shower, toilet and hand basin for those with disabilities.
The Communal Area is split into 3 -kitchen – dining – lounge area. The kitchen is fully equipped with fridge and freezers, cook-tops and ovens, sinks and prep areas. There are pots, pans, crockery and utensils all supplied. The dining area has seating for approximately 26 people, and in the Lounge area there is a TV with selected Sky Channels, a wood fire, chairs and couch’s to sit around and relax. During the nice warm days of Summer, there is an outside deck area to sit, relax and take in the sun. There is a separate laundry with 3 washers, 4 dryers and a washtub and beside this is a drying room.
These is a range of different configured rooms in a similar area that can cater up to 58 people in total.

|Luxmore Standard Rooms:
Perfect for 36 people or less. Our Luxmore building is a smaller facility which has 10 rooms consisting of 2 Double rooms ( Double beds ) and 8 Quad rooms containing 2 sets of bunk beds.
|We can accommodate up to 32 people in the bunk rooms and 4 people in the 2 double rooms. All 10 rooms have bedding, pillow, and a heater.|
The Luxmore Amenities Block this is a modern facility, which contains 4 separate rooms – the male shower room with 4 showers and 6 hand basins – male toilets with 4 toilets, 2 urinals and 4 hand basins – female shower room with 8 showers and 6 hand basins – female toilets with 8 toilets and 4 hand basins. Each of the male and female facilities has separate accessible bathrooms with a walk-in shower, toilet and hand basin in each. The large communal laundry with 4 washing machines, 3 dryers a washtub and 2 iron boards (irons can be borrowed from reception).
The large kitchen has fridge and freezer space, cook-tops and ovens, sinks and microwaves. The dining and lounge areas have seating for approximately 50 people, there is a TV with selected Sky Channels and a heat-pump. For those sunny days a paved deck area with outdoor tables and 2 BBQ’s – perfect for a sausage sizzle.
